The Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner (ME-C)

The Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner is to serve the community by conducting objective medicolegal death investigations in a compassionate manner into all deaths that fall under the jurisdiction of the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office.

ME-C Dashboard

The Medical Examiner-Coroner's interactive dashboard provides the public with crucial information about ME-C deaths.  The case records provide a unique lens through which to examine the impacts of everything from suicides, drugs to cold-related deaths. The geographic data can help government agencies or nonprofits design interventions that target areas that need it most.
The dashboard summarizes the number of deaths that were handled by the ME-C, to include cause and manner of death (i.e. natural, homicide, accidents, suicides), decedent demographics (age, ethnicity/race, zip code of residence, zip code of death), the location of death and manners of death including heat mapping of deaths within the various zip codes.
