The Oaths of Office consist of 219 oaths taken by county elected and appointed officials, copies of notices of appointment and revocations of appointments, and copies of bonds posted for the period 1850 to 1854. It also includes copies of official announcements of election results for county offices. Office holders include Recorders, Assessors, Sheriffs, Notaries, Judges, District Attorneys, Justices of the Peace, Constables, Commissioners, Public Administrators, Surveyors, Treasurers, Tax Collectors, and bonded individuals.
Each entry includes the name of the oath taker, the office they are taking an oath for, the date of the oath, page number and notes. You may search the oaths using the index below.
